Cat. No.NER(C)-1: 1 (one) post of Junior Hindi Translator, Group 'C' (Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial) in Income Tax Department, North Eastern Region.

Pay Scale: Rs.5000-150-8000/-

Vacancy: 01 (UR)

Upper Age Limit: Not exceeding 28 years as on closing date (Relaxable for Govt. servants' up to 35 years in accordance with the instructions or orders issued by the Central Government).

Educational Qualification:

Master's degree of a recognised University in any subject with Hindi as the medium of instruction and examination with English as a compulsory subject at degree level. OR Bachelor's degree with Hindi and English as main subject or either of the two as medium of examination and other as a main subject plus recognised Diploma / Certificate Course in translation from Hindi to English and vice versa; - or- two Years' experience of translation work from Hindi to English and vice versa in Central / State Govt, offices, including Govt, of India Undertakings.

Intial Posting: Anywhere in North Eastern Region comprising the states of Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Tripura, Arunachal Pradesh & Mizoram.

Period of Probation: 2 (two) years.

To assist the Head of Station/offices to enable them mainly to meet the bilingual requirements,
Translating of the documents such as General Orders, Resolutions etc. from English to Hindi and Vice-versa.

Age Limit: Between 18-30 years (Relaxable upto 5 years for employees of Prasar Bharati).

Educational Qualication:

Degree of a recognised University or equivalent qualification. OR A Diploma from National School of Drama, New Delhi or a Diploma from thevFilm and Television Institute, Pune. OR A Diploma in Sound Broadcasting,

Proficiency in the language relevant to the vacancy i.e. Hindi & English for NES, Shillong / Garo & English for Tura / Jaintia & English for Jowai.,

Desirable Qualification:

Five years standing as a well-known writer in the language relevant to the vacancy or five years experience of creative writing in book-form or experience of creative writing for any Journal Magazine or for Radio and capacity to prepare scripts for broadcasts.
Knowledge of Hindi.
Knowledge of other languages of area concerned,
Voice suited for broadcasting,
Experience of contributing articles to Newspapers / Magazines / Radio and Television. Intial Posting : Shillong / Tura / Jowai.
