4. Physical Standards:
(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height 162.5 cms with correlated weight, leg length,
sitting height and thigh length.
(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable
to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.
Note:
There will be no relexation in Physical Standards.
Short Service Commission:
5. Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject
to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidate. On completion of
these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules.
Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service would stand as added
advantages in acquiring second career post exit from the Navy.
6. Officers inducted under this scheme will not be given extension beyond fourteen years and
will not be eligible for permanent commission.

(b) Application must be sent in the format given in the advertisement, otherwise it will be
rejected.
(c) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of:
(i) 10th Standard Certificate for verification of date of birth.
(ii) other educational certificates.
(iii) Marks statement of all semesters/years.
(d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only.
Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) will not be responsible for loss of
enclosures, if sent loose.
(e) Applicants should endorse their willingness to be considered for Executive (General
Service)in case not qualifying PABT/Aviation medicals to be considered for the same.
(f) Applicants who have failed in PABT (Pilot Apptitude Batery Test) earlier are not eligible
for the scheme.
