Indian Navy as SSC Officers in Pilot Course (July) 2010

The Indian Navy become a Short Service Commissioned Officer as Pilot Course Commencing – Jul 2010.

1. Applications are invited from unmarried male Indian citizens for Short Service Commission (SSC) as pilots in the Executive Branch of the Indian Navy for Course commencing Jul 2010 at the Indian Naval Academy.

Eligibility Conditions:

2. Age. 19 to 23 years born between 02 Jul 1987 and 01 Jul 1991; both dates inclusive.

3. Educational Qualifications:

A graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 60% marks with Mathematics & Physics at 10+2 level.

 

4. Physical Standards:

(a) Height and Weight. Minimum height 162.5 cms with correlated weight, leg length, sitting height and thigh length.

(b) Eye Sight. The minimum acceptable vision standard for distant vision 6/6, 6/9 correctable to 6/6, 6/6. Should not be colour/night blind.

Note:

There will be no relexation in Physical Standards.

Short Service Commission:

5. Short Service Commission is granted for a term of 10 years, extendable to 14 years, subject to service requirement and performance/willingness of the candidate. On completion of these tenures, officers are entitled for gratuity under the extant rules.

Disciplined life, leadership qualities and professional skills imbibed during the service would stand as added advantages in acquiring second career post exit from the Navy.

6. Officers inducted under this scheme will not be given extension beyond fourteen years and will not be eligible for permanent commission.

7. (a) Application Forms in accordance with the prescribed format and complete in all respects with superscription on the envelope “Application for SSC Pilots - Jul 2010 Course, Qualification………….................. .…..………...... Percentage..............%” is to be sent to the address given below by 17 Oct 2009. Applications sent by Speed Post/Registered Post/Courier will not be accepted.

(b) Application must be sent in the format given in the advertisement, otherwise it will be rejected.

(c) Application must be accompanied by attested copies of:

(i) 10th Standard Certificate for verification of date of birth.

(ii) other educational certificates.

(iii) Marks statement of all semesters/years.

(d) Application and requisite enclosures must be properly tagged/stitched by thread only. Integrated Headquarters, Ministry of Defence (Navy) will not be responsible for loss of enclosures, if sent loose.

(e) Applicants should endorse their willingness to be considered for Executive (General Service)in case not qualifying PABT/Aviation medicals to be considered for the same.

(f) Applicants who have failed in PABT (Pilot Apptitude Batery Test) earlier are not eligible for the scheme.
