Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices – Exam Pattern
Screening of documents, physical measurements and Medical Examination will be carried out at BRO and those declared successful will be called for appearing in the Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Written Examination.
Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Written Examination : There will be two papers each of 100 marks and 3 hours duration.
Paper I : Mathematics
Paper II : General Knowledge and General Science.
Those who qualify the Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Written Test are called for Interview. Based on the performance of the candidates in the final Indian Navy Dockyard Apprentices Interview the selected candidates will be sent for Training. The Indian Navy Dockyard training period for most trades is three years.
Designated : Electrician, Fitter, Turner, Mechanic Diesel, Crane Operator; Welder, Rigger, Ref and Air condition Mechanic, Shipwright and Maintenance mechanic.
Non-Designated : Engine Fitter, Ship Fitter, Radar Fitter, Machinery Control Fitter, Sonar Fitter, Electronic Fitter, and GT Fitter.
Allocation of Trades : The selected candidates will be allotted Trades on choice cum-merit basis.
