Military Nursing Service
Aim of Military Nursing Service : To train Female candidates as Nurses and employ them as Nursing Officers in the Armed Forces.
Course Offered : College of Nursing, AFMC, Pune offers B.Sc (Nursing) General Nursing and Midwifery (GNM) Course, every year.
No. of Military Nursing Seats :
40 Seats for 4 years B.Sc (Nursing) and 180 Seats for 3 years training in Diploma in Gen Nursing & Midwifery Course. (Usually commences in Aug / Sep). On successful completion of Nursing training (4/3 Years) the candidates will be granted commission in the Military Nursing Service.
Military Nursing Eligibility Conditions :
Females who are unmarried or divorcee or legally separated or Widows without encumbrances.
Nationality : Indian.
Date of Birth : should be between 17 to 24 years.
Education Qualification for Military Nursing Service :
Should have passed in the first attempt the complete senior secondary (10 + 2) / equivalent examination from a recognized Board / University with Physics, Chemistry and Biology with minimum 50 % aggregate marks as a regular student. Those who passed such examination as private students or with compartment in any subject are not eligible.
Military Nursing Service Physical standards : Medical fitness will be determined as per military standards by Military authorities.
Military Nursing Service Selection :
Eligible candidates will be called for an objective type written test for Military Nursing Service of 90 minutes duration covering the topics in General English, Biology and General Intelligence. Likely to be held in Feb / Mar of every year. As per merit list the selected candidates will be called for Military Nursing Service Interview in Mar / Apr. Final merit list will be as per combined merit, subject to medical fitness.
Medical Examination for Military Nursing : After the Military Nursing Interview the recommended candidates will have to appear for medical examination before a Special Medical board.
Military Nursing Written Examination Centres : (Souther Region) Bangalore, Kochi, Chennai, Secunderabad, Trivandram and Vishakpatnam.
Application form of Military Nursing Service :
Apply on a plain paper (21 Cm x36 Cm) as per the format given in the Military Nursing Service Advertisement. Candidate should have passed the specified qualification examinations before submission of their Military Nursing Service application.
The following is the list of enclosures to be attached (Photo copy) with the Military Nursing Service application :
- Photograph
- Attested Copy of Complete marks sheet or Senior Secondary (10 + 2) / Equivalent certificate.
- Certificate of Date of Birth
- Copies of admit letters
- An affidavit stating that you are issueless (In case of widows / divorcees)
- Legal documents of the divorcees and an affidavit that the matter is not under consideration with the High court.
